Aberdeen cyclist struck by car; 37-year-old charged in attempted murder case

A 37-year-old man has been charged in connection with attempted murder after a car struck a 19-year-old cyclist in Aberdeen at about 18:00 on Friday. The rider was taken to hospital, and the man is due at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.
The cyclist was hit by a white BMW near the junction of Rousay Drive and Lang Stracht, close to a Tesco supermarket. Police have appealed for further information.
