Aaron Judge says he is trying to be ready for the Yankees’ AL Wild Card Game 1 on Tuesday after a right calf strain put him on the injured list and likely ended his regular season. Manager Aaron Boone said he is not expecting him, but has not ruled it out.
Boone called the strain “moderate” and said Judge received a PPP injection. Judge questioned that description and said his prognosis, discussed with team decision-makers, has not been made public. He also said he does not want to rush back and risk re-injury.
