Props For A Purpose has acquired its first dedicated aircraft, a twin-engine Tecnam P2012 Traveller, on a 10-year lease. The nonprofit says the plane, named Servant One, will expand its disaster-relief and humanitarian transport capacity.
The lease is with AeroSpring Leasing. Props For A Purpose says its nationwide network includes 500 pilots and other aviation professionals and that it has flown about 300 missions. CEO Jacob Bealle said the group’s efforts began after tornadoes struck western Kentucky in December 2021, when local pilots flew supplies to affected communities.
Bealle said the organization transported search-and-rescue personnel and resources during flooding in Kerrville, Texas, in 2025, and supported Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Melissa relief efforts in Jamaica that year. It also arranges flights for patients who need care away from home and transports medical personnel and supplies.
