58-year-old man dies in hospital after Birchwood flat fire rescue

A 58-year-old man died at Whiston Hospital after firefighters rescued him from a flat fire in Birchwood, Warrington, on 22 September. Police said the cause remains under investigation and officers do not believe a third party was involved.

Emergency services were called to the property on Teal Grove at about 10:10 BST on 22 September.
