Mark Zuckerberg said Meta expects to earn small fees from transactions through its Muse AI agent over time, while keeping it free for a huge number of tokens. The company added PayPal and retail integrations and is bringing Expedia travel and Instacart grocery services to Muse.
Meta chief AI officer Alexandr Wang named Walmart, Best Buy, The Gap, Sephora, Wayfair and American Eagle among the retail partners. Meta is also rolling out Mac computer control, allowing Muse to take control of a Mac on a user's behalf, and plans to bring the agent to its smart glasses.
Muse debuted Sept. 8 and became the top app on Apple's App Store and Google Play Store, the article says. Sensor Tower put daily active users at 560,000 after 11 days. Meta shares rose 11% on Monday, and Wells Fargo and KeyBanc Capital Markets raised their price targets amid the app's early uptake.
