For refinancing, Zillow’s national averages were 7.25% for a 30-year fixed loan, 7.14% for a 20-year, 6.70% for a 15-year, 6.80% for a 5/1 ARM and 6.60% for a 7/1 ARM. VA refinance averages were 6.77% for 30 years, 6.46% for 15 years and 5.91% for a 5/1 ARM. The figures are rounded to hundredths.
Zillow’s daily 30-year average was 7.30%, while Freddie Mac reported a weekly average of 7.03%. The article says the figures differ because the sources use different methods and reporting periods. MBA and Fannie Mae forecasts cited in the article put 30-year rates at 6.7%–6.8% through the end of 2026.
