Jayson Barker, a Wilmington College custodial contractor, was arrested Sept. 22 and charged with 11 counts of voyeurism after a player allegedly spotted him in the locker-room ceiling as 11 women changed. Police allege he was taking pictures.
According to an affidavit, one player saw a person in the ceiling holding a phone that seemed to flash, suggesting photos or video were being taken. Police said investigators obtained a warrant to search Barker’s phone to determine whether he had been in the locker room before.
Barker was held at Clinton County Jail on a $22,000 cash/surety bond and was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 5. Wilmington College said it had provided counseling and other support to affected students and was assisting law enforcement’s investigation.
