Meat Church, Matt Pittman’s barbecue brand, opened a new supply store Saturday in Waxahachie’s former Boyce Feed Store. The three-acre site is triple the size of its former Main Street space and sells seasonings, meat products, grills, equipment and merchandise.
Pittman’s Saturday video featured former NFL player Von Miller’s Greener Pastures Chicken products, Traeger grills and a dedicated YETI room. The store offers customers free barbecue and beer on Saturdays; Pittman said its bar has 43 Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels.
Pittman said the store was so crowded on opening day that customers could not move inside for the first three hours. He announced the purchase in June and said he filmed his 2014 BBQ Pitmasters tryout video at the property.
