Eagles safety Marcus Epps struggled in Sunday's win over Tennessee, with a missed tackle and a 27-yard run he allowed setting up Titans field goals. Vic Fangio said Wednesday Epps would bounce back; Epps is expected to start against Chicago in Week 3.
Titans receiver Elic Ayomanor hurdled Epps for a 41-yard gain and later picked up 28 yards on third-and-13 after Epps missed a tackle. Tyjae Spears' 27-yard run came on third-and-22 with 2:44 remaining and led to a go-ahead field goal. Philadelphia answered with a game-winning touchdown on its final possession.
The Eagles signed veteran nickel cornerback and safety Kenny Moore to their practice squad Wednesday; he may eventually compete with Epps for starting snaps. Fangio also said defensive back Michael Carter II could receive more snaps at safety.
