The 4,400-square-foot “Mississippi Taj Mahal” near Ocean Springs is back on the market for $2.5 million. The never-inhabited mansion is unfinished and needs roof repairs; broker Rachel Allen says it also lacks a kitchen, flooring and cabinetry.
Allen said more than $1 million has gone into the concrete and rebar, and that much of the essential structural work is complete. The property is only a few feet from the Gulf and has more than 125 feet of waterfront.
Dr. Pravin Saija began building the house in 2008, NOLA.com reported in 2024. It was designed with hurricane-mitigation features, including a circular plan and a first floor 30 feet above sea level; the report said contractor problems kept Saija from completing it. He reportedly raised the asking price by $500,000 from its first listing about a decade ago.
