Donald Trump’s disclosure of July trades lists more than 1,000 transactions, including a SpaceX purchase in the $15,001–$50,000 band on July 10 and a sale in the $1,001–$15,000 band a week later. SpaceX’s federal contracts raise conflict-of-interest questions.

The disclosure was signed Sept. 8 and made public Sept. 22. It reports transaction values in bands, not exact prices. A Guardian analysis, cited by LiveMint, estimated July purchases and sales totaled $79 million to $270 million. The filing also lists Microsoft and Amazon sales of $5 million–$25 million each on July 20, followed by purchases on July 23: Microsoft in the $100,001–$250,000 band and Amazon in the $1,001–$15,000 band.

Trump has said outside institutions manage his money; CNBC reported the portfolio is structured to replicate indexes such as Schwab 1000, a strategy the article says could explain frequent trading but not resolve conflict concerns. The article says presidents are generally exempt from the federal criminal conflict-of-interest statute but remain subject to separate securities-law duties involving material nonpublic information. Sources reviewed for the article identified no formal insider-trading finding tied to these trades.
