Trade tensions featured prominently in the visit, but few concrete results had emerged from the leaders’ meetings, the report said. The US was expected to release more details on Monday about potential progress on trade tensions.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he plans to attend the Shenzhen APEC summit, fuelling speculation about a possible meeting with Xi and Trump. A trilateral meeting has not been confirmed.
