Trent McDuffie is now a captain and defensive leader for the Rams after arriving from Kansas City in March. He intercepted a pass in the Rams’ 28-6 win over the Giants, helping them rebound from their season-opening loss to San Francisco.
The two-time Super Bowl winner joined the Rams in a deal that sent Kansas City the 29th overall pick and three other draft picks; Los Angeles later signed him to an extension with $100 million in guarantees. McDuffie is seeking his first interception against Denver on Sunday after facing the Broncos six times with Kansas City.
McDuffie said he learned from hesitating on a pass that A.J. Brown caught for a touchdown in Super Bowl LVII. The following season, he earned All-Pro recognition without an interception, while forcing five fumbles and recording three sacks.
