A Kyrie Irving trade to Miami remains only a possibility: ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported Dallas and the guard could mutually agree to a deal if Irving asks to leave. The Mavericks have said they want him alongside Cooper Flagg; no trade has been reported.
Heat reporter Alex Toledo, writing for Sports Illustrated, said Miami’s most realistic offer could center on Andrew Wiggins and Davion Mitchell, with a sweetener such as the conditional 2029 first-round pick, Pelle Larsson or Conwell. Wiggins is due $30.1 million this upcoming season, while Irving’s 2026–27 salary is about $39.5 million.
Sports Illustrated’s Austin Veazey wrote that teams are not convinced Dallas will keep Irving long term, as the Mavericks have talked about building around Flagg, who is 15 years younger. Irving missed all of last season after an ACL injury; the article says he would return for 2026–27 and has a $42.4 million player option for the following season.
