Justin Verlander is set to make his final career start against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sept. 26, 2026, at 1:10 p.m. ET, with Detroit hosting at Comerica Park. He has 266 career wins, short of his 300-win goal.
Detroit drafted Verlander second overall in 2004, and he debuted with the Tigers in 2005 before spending 13 years with the club. After he was traded to Houston, he appeared in the World Series in 2019 and 2021; the Astros won titles in 2017 and 2022.
