ESPN will air the American Conference doubleheader on Friday, Sept. 25: Temple (1-2) visits Army (1-1) at 4 p.m. ET, then Navy (1-1) visits UAB (1-2) at 7 p.m. Army is favored by 3 points and Navy by 6.5.
Army has won all four meetings with Temple since 2016, including 14-13 last November. Its 394 rushing yards per game lead the FBS, while Temple’s Ajani Sheppard threw three touchdown passes in the Owls’ 49-48 overtime loss at Toledo.
Navy quarterback Braxton Woodson is day-to-day with an ankle injury, coach Brian Newberry said; Jackson Gutierrez would take his place if needed. Navy has won all three previous meetings with UAB by at least 14 points. Other Friday games include Rutgers-Howard at 7 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network, Indiana-Northwestern at 8 p.m. on FOX and Clemson-California at 10:30 p.m. on ESPN.
