Indiana fell 86-66 to Minnesota in its regular-season finale as Caitlin Clark scored a career-low two points on 1-for-12 shooting. Stephanie White wore a Kelsey Mitchell “Slam” shirt, drawing criticism from Clark fans; the loss left the Fever sixth at 28-16.
Mitchell made two of six three-pointers to reach 135 for the season, a WNBA single-season record. Her 10 points against Minnesota ended a 27-game streak of scoring at least 20; Clark had been 11 points short of becoming the first point guard to score 900 in a WNBA season.
The Fever are set to open a first-round playoff series against third-seeded Las Vegas on Sunday. Indiana won the regular-season series 2-1, including both road games.
