Seahawks receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba said opponents must respect Seattle’s commitment to the run after Ja’Marr Chase questioned why he was not being double-teamed. Smith-Njigba also credited coordinator Brian Fleury with using motion and lining him up across the field.
Smith-Njigba had 277 receiving yards and four touchdowns through Seattle’s first two games. The Seahawks were set to face the Washington Commanders that weekend; he had 129 yards against them last season.
Fleury took over as Seattle’s offensive coordinator after Klint Kubiak left to become head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.
