Chicago opened 21-day return windows for PUP-listed linebacker Noah Sewell (Achilles) and defensive lineman Shemar Turner (knee), who returned to practice. They can be activated during their windows; otherwise, they’ll go on season-ending injured reserve.
The PUP list is the Physically Unable to Perform list, and Week 5 is the earliest a player who began the season on it can be activated. Coach Ben Johnson gave no update on cornerback Kyler Gordon (calf) and said starting cornerback Tyrique Stavenson is week-to-week with a hamstring injury. Johnson said Ozzy Trapilo would practice in full again today, though Trapilo is still building confidence in putting his full weight on it; Johnson said he would return before long.
With Caleb Williams (hamstring) and Tyson Bagent (concussion) both possibly unavailable, Johnson said the Bears would not add another quarterback. If neither can play, Case Keenum and Miller Moss would be elevated from the practice squad.
