Tennessee warned fans to expect enhanced Secret Service screening and longer waits. All Neyland Stadium gates are set to open at 9 a.m. ET for the noon kickoff, and the university urged ticket holders to arrive much earlier than usual.
Sarkisian said he had faced the security wrinkle before, as Alabama’s offensive coordinator when Trump attended Alabama’s 2019 game against LSU. Fans online criticized the potential interruption and its effect on stadium access; one called it “bad for sports.”
