The Roku Channel will premiere Unmasking the Tylenol Killer, an 88-minute Unsolved Mysteries film, on October 9. It covers the identification of a man who died in a Boise church in 1982 and a possible link to that year’s Tylenol poisonings, which killed seven in the Chicago area.
The unidentified man, called the “Unknown Wanderer,” was found dead from cyanide poisoning in a Boise church in December 1982; a note gave the false name William L. Toomey. Ada County Sheriff’s Detective Tim Cooper contends the man was the “Tylenol Killer,” while the sheriff’s office described the link to the poisonings as possible.
