Ricky Martin, 54, is slated to perform at halftime of the Ravens-Cowboys NFL game at Rio’s Maracanã. He joined Menudo in 1984, released his solo debut in 1991 and, The Sporting News reports, has sold more than 70 million records.
Martin left Menudo at 17 and was an international star by 1995. His third album, “A Medio Vivir,” was certified gold in the U.S. and quadruple platinum in Spain; later hits included “La Copa de la Vida,” “La Bomba” and “Livin’ la Vida Loca.”
The article credits Martin with two Grammy Awards and five Latin Grammys and says he has not released a new album since 2015. It also reports that he performed at the Super Bowl alongside Bad Bunny.
