Cat Secretary’s free Steam demo is live ahead of the game’s Nov. 4, 2026 PC release, and progress carries over to the full game. Good Story Guild’s debut title casts players as a cat trying to stop an office AI from replacing human workers.
By day, players work reception at DOX HQ, brewing coffee, repairing equipment and spending earned DOXBux to renovate and expand the office. At night, they sneak past the AI security system, explore upper floors and complete quests aimed at stopping DOX’s replacement plan.
Good Story Guild says the game was made entirely by humans, without generative AI, citing concerns about voice actors’ performances being used to train AI systems without consent. Head of Audio Rachel Music said the studio leaned into human touches such as joy and surprise. The cast includes Baldur’s Gate 3 actor Samantha Béart and more than a dozen other performers.
