The New Orleans Pelicans signed forward Julian Reese, Angel Reese’s younger brother, to a two-way contract. Angel responded on Instagram: “Take care of my Boys.” The deal allows Julian to divide time between New Orleans and its G League affiliate.
Reese went undrafted in 2025 after four seasons at Maryland, where he averaged 11.1 points and 7.6 rebounds over 134 games and finished second on the program’s career rebounding list with 1,015. He signed a two-way deal with Washington in February 2026, then was traded to Denver in August and waived shortly afterward.
In 13 appearances for Washington, Reese averaged 11.8 points and 10.5 rebounds. He had 18 points and 20 rebounds against Utah in his third NBA game, then recorded 26 points and 17 rebounds in a game that ended the Wizards’ 16-game losing streak.
