Former Browns running back Nick Chubb says injuries were not the main reason he retired before the 2026 NFL season at 30. He said his intense focus left him feeling absent from life, and by age 30 he wanted to pursue things beyond his career as an athlete.
Chubb played eight NFL seasons—seven with Cleveland and his final one with Houston. He described the offseason as a nonstop routine of deciding what to lift, run and do to improve for the next season.
