Ashley Hinson turns on Trump as Iowa poll gives Josh Turek 8-point lead

Hinson urged an immediate end to the Iran war as a poll put her 8 points behind.

The Marist poll, released Tuesday, found 50% of registered Iowa voters backed Josh Turek and 42% Hinson. It surveyed 1,050 voters from September 17 to 20, with a margin of error of ±4.4 percentage points. Hinson also proposed suspending the gas tax and pausing diesel exports to ease costs. The candidates are competing to succeed retiring Republican Senator Joni Ernst.
