Ontario police have charged Nassim Eronn, 34, with 65 offences over alleged thefts and fraud involving patients and staff at five healthcare facilities. The charges include 34 fraud and 13 theft counts, each under $5,000; the incidents date back to February 2024.
The OPP said it began investigating in May after a theft report at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, where Eronn worked, then expanded the probe to Headwaters Health Care Centre, Trillium Health Partners' Mississauga Hospital, St Joseph's Health Centre and West Park Health Care Centre. The charges also include seven counts of disobeying a court order, plus breach of trust and impersonation. Police said search warrants led to significant amounts of property being seized.
Investigators said they believe there may be more victims and urged the public to check financial records for suspicious transactions and come forward with relevant information.
