Analyst Gene Munster says Mark Zuckerberg’s remark that Muse will be Meta’s centerpiece signals a willingness to rebuild the company as an AI-first business. Muse has exceeded 3.4 million downloads since Sept. 8, while Meta shares rose over 40% in the past month.
At Meta Connect, Meta unveiled the Muse Charm, a pocket device built exclusively for voice interaction with its Muse agent, and Meta VR Glasses priced at $1,299. The glasses weigh 100 grams—about one-fifth as much as Quest 3—and feature 5K micro-OLED displays, tethered puck processing, and eye and hand tracking. Meta also introduced third-generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses starting at $249 and camera-free Audio glasses for open-ear listening and AI voice interaction.
Sensor Tower data obtained by Yahoo Finance put Muse at 2.8 million downloads in its first two weeks. Over the same 14-day post-launch period, ChatGPT had 3.7 million global downloads, Grok 400,000 and Claude 300,000. Meta added about $234 billion in market value over five days.
