Arizona’s 1996-97 championship men’s basketball team will reunite at Saturday’s Red-Blue Showcase, arranged by Miles Simon, as the Wildcats celebrate the title team’s 30th-anniversary season. The scrimmage starts at 2:30 p.m. MST and streams on ESPN+.
Expected to join Simon are Mike Bibby, Jason Terry, A.J. Bramlett, Eugene Edgerson, Bennett Davison, Jason Lee, Quynn Tebbs, Josh Pastner and other team members.
Simon said team members still text about former coach Lute Olson, who died six years ago. Tuesday would have been Olson’s 92nd birthday, and Simon said he would be dearly missed at the reunion.
