Michael Penix Jr. is ready to return from his latest knee surgery as the Falcons visit Green Bay for Thursday Night Football. Atlanta has scored 16 points and committed seven turnovers through two weeks, and has yet to run a play in an opponent’s red zone.
Green Bay is 1-1 and will be without Micah Parsons until at least October. Starting right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele is out for the season, receiver Jayden Reed is sidelined with a back injury, and the preview says the Packers have been unable to run the ball.
It is Green Bay’s home opener after road games against Minnesota and the New York Jets, and the first of three consecutive primetime games for Atlanta. Prime Video carries the game, which kicks off at 5:15 p.m. PT.
