From 2025 to 2026, Canzone’s walk rate rose from 7.4% to 8.8% and his strikeout rate fell from 21.9% to 20.8%, while his whiff rate edged up from 26.4% to 27.0%. The writer says improved discipline has helped him get into better counts and calls him a foundational part of Seattle’s offense for 2027.
Against left-handed pitching, Canzone hit .268 with a .390 on-base percentage and five home runs, compared with a .258 average against right-handers. Entering Saturday, he and Randy Arozarena had 77 RBIs apiece; Arozarena had three more home runs.
