Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said he apologized to Broncos coach Sean Payton after leaked remarks in which he said Payton planned to accuse Seattle of cheating in 2024. Macdonald said Seattle used about 100 fan-posted Broncos camp plays to scout Denver.
Macdonald told reporters Wednesday that the comments were not intended for public use and said he contacted Payton to apologize for their becoming public. He also said Payton “lost it” after learning Seattle had taken the publicly posted Denver camp plays for scouting.
