After LSU's loss to Ole Miss, an updated draft-stock projection puts OT Jordan Seaton and TE Trey'Dez Green in the first round, while QB Sam Leavitt drops from Day 2 to Round 5 after two poor performances. S Dashawn Spears is out for the season.
The updated list also places EDGE Jordan Ross and S Dashawn Spears in Round 2; EDGE Princewill Umanmielen, LB Whit Weeks and S Ty Benefield in Round 3; and C Braelin Moore in Round 4. Although Spears remains listed in Round 2, the writer says his season-ending injury makes a fall to Round 3 or Day 3 more likely; a return to LSU is also possible. Green will be out for a while, and a fall out of Round 1 is possible but described as less likely.
Leavitt was listed as a Day 2 prospect the previous week. The writer acknowledged some strong plays but said his overall performance was not that of a playoff-level quarterback.
