Paramount+ has not officially renewed “Lioness” for Season 4. The Season 3 finale revealed to viewers—but not the characters—that Aaliyah was behind Joe’s kidnapping and had ordered another attempt; Joe’s husband also left with their daughters.
Paramount+ said the Season 3 premiere drew 7.1 million viewers globally in its first seven days, significantly more than the Season 2 premiere. The streamer said in a Sept. 23 Q&A that Season 4 had not been officially renewed.
Nicole Kidman urged fans to “demand” a fourth season, while Zoe Saldaña said she would be grateful if the series returned and that the Aaliyah cliffhanger deserved an explanation. Michael Idov joined as a writer and supervising producer in August while Season 3 was airing, a possible sign of Season 4 development but not an announced renewal.
