Leanne Park’s family pays tribute as Darlington murder inquiry continues

Leanne Park’s family says she was “loved by everyone” after she was pronounced dead in Parkgate, Darlington, on Wednesday. A 44-year-old man remains in custody on suspicion of murder; a 27-year-old arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed.

Durham Constabulary said the investigation is ongoing. Specialist crime scene investigators are examining the scene, and police said a cordon is expected to remain in place for some time. The force appealed for information.
