Fans urged Lamar Jackson to stay safe after the Ravens quarterback posted an Instagram video from Rio de Janeiro, where Baltimore faces Dallas on Sept. 27. The game will be the NFL’s first in Rio; some fans also recalled tight security at the league’s 2024 Brazil game.
NFLPA president JC Tretter said concerns about the Rio field centered on the possibility it would be loose and patchy, causing excessive slipping. He said those conditions are generally a playability and performance issue rather than a significant injury concern.
