Former Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert, defensive back J.T. Thomas and commentator Craig Wolfley were inducted into the team’s 2026 Hall of Honor. They were enshrined Friday at Acrisure Stadium and will be recognized again Sunday against Cincinnati.
Colbert was with the Steelers’ front office from 2000 to 2022, including 12 seasons as general manager. During that period, Pittsburgh went 226-124-3 in regular-season play, won 10 AFC North titles and reached the playoffs 14 times; Colbert helped build the Super Bowl 40 and 43 championship teams. Head coach Mike Tomlin congratulated him in an Instagram post.
Colbert said on the Inside The Game podcast that the Steelers, picking 11th in 2004, never expected Ben Roethlisberger to be available. He recalled Coach Cowher arguing they should draft the quarterback if he fell to them, although Tommy Maddox had done some good things the previous season.
