Kanell says Manning must become more consistent to meet Texas’ goals

Pro Football Network

Former Florida State quarterback Danny Kanell said Arch Manning has fallen short of expectations and needs greater consistency for Texas to meet its goals. After the Longhorns beat Tennessee 20-17, Manning went 14-for-19 for 201 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.

Manning entered the season as a potential No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. Kanell acknowledged his flashes, including plays in Texas’ second-half comeback against Ohio State; entering the Tennessee game, Manning ranked No. 50 in PFN’s QB Impact Score with an 80.0 grade.
