Josh Davis knocked out Jacob Tanner with a running right hand in an amateur heavyweight bout at FAC 36 in Independence, Mississippi, and the referee stopped the fight immediately. The finish came in under 10 seconds; fighter databases say it was Tanner’s first sanctioned contest.
Davis moved to 3-0 as an amateur. He had scored a six-second knockout in his promotional debut in May and a 56-second knockout in his March MMA debut for Synergy FC; none of his fights has reached one minute.
