Jordan Rodgers defended Aaron after the Steelers' 20-3 loss to New England, saying on ESPN's First Take that his brother's downfield throws were accurate, while some incompletions involved drops or non-calls. He urged patience as Aaron and coach Mike McCarthy reunite.
Jordan said Aaron and McCarthy were in a “feeling-out process” as they reunited after working together with the Green Bay Packers. He also said the Steelers were a few drops and missed calls away from being “absolutely explosive” in Week 1.
After the loss, Aaron said the team could not feel sorry for itself or point fingers, and that everyone, including him, had to play better. Earlier this year, he and his parents and brothers, including Jordan, reconciled after years of estrangement; Aaron said the conversations were difficult but left him in a better headspace.
