After Denver’s comeback win over Jacksonville, the share of Broncos Country confident in the team’s direction rose from 38% to 88%. Ahead of tonight’s game against the Rams, the fan base’s biggest concern is quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Stafford, the reigning Super Bowl MVP, completed 22 of 31 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns in the Rams’ win over the Giants last week. Puka Nacua missed that game with an injury, while Davante Adams had a big night.
Denver defensive coordinator Vance Joseph said stopping the Rams’ run game is the first challenge. He pointed to their three-tight-end sets, which can make defenses adjust between larger personnel for the run and smaller looks on passing downs, before getting the Rams into known passing situations and covering their main targets.
