An inquest into the death of 15-year-old Taylor Charlton has been opened in Exeter and adjourned. Senior Devon coroner Philip Spinney said DNA confirmed the body was Taylor's; the cause of death remains unascertained. His body was found six weeks after he was reported missing.
Charlton's body was found floating near a bridge on the River Taw near Sticklepath, Devon, on 24 June. His last confirmed sighting was on a footpath near Barnstaple's Tarka Leisure Centre at about 22:40 BST on 8 May. Police carried out a large search in the weeks before his body was found.
