Indiana's Turbo Richard is helped to locker room after lower-body injury

ClutchPoints

Indiana running back Turbo Richard left Friday’s home game against Northwestern after a hit out of bounds left him with a lower-body injury. He went to the medical tent and was later helped to the locker room; coach Curt Cignetti said, “We’ll see” when asked about his status.

Richard had nine carries for 68 yards in the first half, bringing his season rushing total to 383; he had scored four touchdowns in Indiana’s first three games. Fellow running back Khobie Martin has not made his season debut because of an arm injury, and the backfield could be thin if Richard misses extended time.
