Harvard opened with a 31-7 win over New Hampshire, with Cole Allen rushing for 62 yards; the Crimson defense recorded seven sacks and two interceptions. Brown beat New Haven 17-10 as quarterback James Murphy threw for 343 yards and Matt Childs scored both touchdowns. Harvard begins Ivy League play after winning the conference title in each of the past three seasons.
