SB Nation

Colorado visits the White Sox for the 2026 regular-season finale at 1:10 p.m. MDT, with Kyle Freeland facing Anthony Kay. The Rockies need a win to finish their fourth straight season with at least 100 losses and earn their first series win since September began.

Freeland has a 6.58 ERA in 25 starts and allowed five earned runs on nine hits in his latest outing against Arizona. The preview says this could be his final start for his hometown team. Kay has a 4.53 ERA in 32 appearances, including 30 starts, with 125 strikeouts and 54 walks over 153 innings. He has hit a league-leading 25 batters and is facing Colorado for the first time in his MLB career.

Colorado beat the White Sox in the previous game, a loss that gave the Cleveland Guardians the American League Central title.
