Fraser Yachts CEO Anders Kurtén says demand remains solid, particularly for yachts around 45–50 meters or larger, while overall transactions dipped slightly. Superyachts exceed 24 meters, with entry-level prices from $1 million.
Kurtén said there are about 7,000 yachts measuring 30 meters or longer. He estimated that about 45% of clients, including owners and charterers, are American, 35% are from European countries, and the rest are spread across the Western world.
Kurtén said Fraser has had an excellent year so far. He said financial markets have some short-term effect on the business and that, all else equal, less uncertainty is preferable. He also cited a pandemic-era rise in focus on spending quality time with family and loved ones.
