California startup Feather Robotics has launched its wheeled, two-armed robot for $29,990. Its founders report more than $1 million in revenue, and the company says the robot has been working in manufacturing, food service and other sectors for a year.
The 105-kilogram robot has two arms with a one-meter reach and a torso that raises and lowers 60 centimeters. Customers can choose Nvidia Jetson computing and select the AI model they want to run, rather than buying a system built around Feather’s own model.
Feather raised $7.6 million in pre-seed funding. Goldman Sachs found humanoid manufacturing costs fell 40% in one year as production scaled and key components became commoditized. Other lower-priced mobile robots cited in the article include Nori A3 at $1,688 and Unitree R1 starting at $4,900.
