Liverpool are two places and two points below Everton after three WSL matches, with one win, one draw and one loss. They have scored in all four games this season and beat Sunderland in their Players Cup opener. Manager Gareth Taylor said Sunday may come too soon for Mari Ward, Mao Itamura and Lucy Parry.
Liverpool have won the teams’ last two meetings, in the FA Cup and at Goodison Park, but Everton have won their last four visits to Anfield. Liverpool’s victory over Everton last season was their first WSL win over the Blues since returning to the top flight in 2022.
