In the Loop host Ejaaz Ahamadeen says AI development should slow enough for alignment research and safeguards to catch up, but not enough to hinder innovation against China. He argues both open- and closed-source models should advance so a few labs do not control AI.
Ahamadeen said AI should be accessible to individuals, who should be able to own their data, rather than controlled by one or two powerful labs.
