Darren Till beat Yoel Romero by unanimous decision at BKFC 94 in Manchester; all three judges scored it 49-46. Till mostly kept Romero at range in a cautious five-round fight; afterward, BKFC pound-for-pound champion Lorenzo Hunt criticized his approach.
Romero briefly stunned Till with a right hand at the end of the third round, but Till recovered during the one-minute break. Romero also landed body shots and clinched when he closed the distance; Till finished with a gash under his eye.
Till answered Hunt’s criticism after the bout. In the post-fight interview, BKFC’s Chris Lytle raised Hunt, Mike Perry and Tommy Fury as possible next opponents; no matchup was announced. Till said he had called Perry out for years.
